Resources for Waukesha, Wisconsin

We at the National Mass Violence Victimization Resource Center share in the sorrow of the community of Waukesha, following the devastating attack on its annual Christmas Parade Sunday. A day with the theme of “Comfort and Joy” was turned into a tragic personal nightmare for the victims, survivors, witnesses, and the entire close-knit community of Waukesha.

We have put together resources (linked here) that we hope will be helpful to everyone in Waukesha. Our Center’s free self-help app, Transcend NMVC, may be particularly helpful to victims and survivors as they begin their difficult journey toward recovery and resilience.

Please visit the many resources on our website that support mass violence victims, survivors, witnesses and those who assist them. We are grateful for our Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime, that supports our important efforts to help individuals and communities such as Waukesha who are impacted by mass casualty events.

Sincerely,

Dr. Dean Kilpatrick

Director of the National Mass Violence Victimization Resource Center
